an ESR if the request has been discussed with a Haematologist or if
appropriate clinical indications are clearly documented on the

Medlab Central is pleased to offer a new PCR test that will
detect both gonorrhoea and/or chlamydia from a single specimen.,
starting 3 February 2014. This test replaces routine culture for
detection of gonorrhoea with improved sensitivity, the ability to
use non‐invasive sample types, in some instances, and
room‐temperature storage for collected samples.

The new PCR test for both gonorrhoea and/or chlamydia from a
single specimen was successfully introduced by TLab early in
2013. The memo document summarising sample
recommendations has recently been reviewed and
updated.
