Elayne is a Haematologist working for Medlab Central and
MidCentral Health since 1989, enjoying the complete patient
management of the specialty from clinical assessment to diagnosis
and management. To have the laboratory within the hospital makes
this easy and efficient. As Palmerston North is the centre for the
Regional Cancer Treatment Service, she helps provide the clinical
and laboratory services for the region including Hawkes Bay,
Wanganui, Taranaki, Wairarapa and Tarawhiti Districts. As a mother
of three children this has always been a part time commitment, made
possible by the easy living in Palmerston North with everything
only a few minutes drive away and a good collegial team of
haematologists and pathologists.
